Incident history

WHAT WENT WRONG,
AND WHAT WE CHANGED.

We publish incidents including the ones nobody noticed. A status page that only ever shows green is not a status page.

    DEGRADED LIVE CLASS JOINS

Some students in one region saw slow joins on live class rooms during a peak afternoon window. Cause was capacity at the video provider, not in Skoolarz. Lessons continued; the delay was in joining, not in the session itself.

What changed: we now pre-warm rooms for lessons flagged live in advance and alert on join latency rather than only on failures.

  2. 3 March 2026 · Resolved · 18 minutes

    DELAYED ANNOUNCEMENT EMAILS

A queue backlog delayed outbound announcement emails by up to 20 minutes. In-app announcements were unaffected and appeared immediately, which is why most schools did not notice.

What changed: queue depth is now alerted on before it becomes user-visible, and announcement delivery is reported per recipient in the interface.

  3. 19 November 2025 · Resolved · 2 hours 6 minutes

    SCHEDULED MAINTENANCE OVERRAN

A planned database migration during a weekend maintenance window took longer than the notified period. No data was affected, but the window we had announced to schools was wrong by about ninety minutes.

What changed: maintenance windows are now quoted with the rehearsal time, not the optimistic time, and we notify when a window is going to overrun rather than after it has.
